What better place to take in the scenic beauty of Oak Run, than from a boat on Spoon Lake? Take a leisurely ride on a pontoon boat, row quietly in a kayak, or spend the afternoon on a speed boat pulling a water skier. Fuel your boat on the lake at the NBL Marina without interrupting your plans. Whatever activity you choose, Oak Run’s beautiful 600 acre lake is a perfect place to boat!
Fishing
Oak Run’s Spoon Lake has 19 miles of shoreline and contains a remarkable fishery including largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, channel catfish, and bluegill. Whether fishing from the shores of any of Oak Run’s lovely parks, or from a boat on the lake, anglers agree that Spoon Lake offers a wonderful opportunity for fishing!
Golf
The Oak Run Public Golf Course features a picturesque championship 18-hole course. The course boasts well defined fairways, challenging bunkers, several water hazards, and native grass areas. Three sets of tees will accommodate any level of play. Oak Run’s certified PGA pro is on-site and available for lessons to improve your game. Take time to browse the Pro Shop for unique and essential golf merchandise during your visit!
Camping
Camper’s Village is Oak Run’s private campground. Property owners and their accompanied guests may camp daily, or members may lease a permanent or semi-permanent site (as available). Our campground boasts 68 leased sites and an abundance of daily sites for tent or trailer camping. Amenities include a pavilion, bath house/restrooms, nature trails, and a playground for the kids.
Jogging and Cycling
Enjoy the public roads surrounding Oak Run by jogging or cycling at your own pace. Oak Run offers many hills and valleys to challenge your routine. And the setting is beyond compare!
Swimming
Delight in the relaxing cool waters of Spoon Lake or the Brentwood Pool this summer! Property owners and their accompanied guests may choose to swim at the pool, or at either of the two beaches located at Lakeview or Windemere. Property owners swim for free at all locations, however; you must present a current membership card for each family member to receive free admittance to the pool. Request your child’s membership card at the POA office. Accompanied guests pay only $4 per visit at the pool.
Tennis / Pickleball
Don’t forget to bring your tennis racket to Oak Run! The newly resurfaced tennis court is calling your name! If tennis is not your game, try pickleball. The court is marked and ready for either of these sports.
Basketball
Oak Run’s new basketball hoop and backboard is located in lovely Brentwood Park. Why not shoot a few hoops before visiting the pool to cool off?
